Job Posting: Admissions & Student Recruitment Officer The Alberta College of Aeronautics (ACA) is Alberta's only post-secondary institution dedicated exclusively to academic and commercial pilot training. Located at Cooking Lake Airport, ACA delivers an innovative Integrated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (iATPL) Diploma program that combines collegiate academics with professional flight training in a modern aviation environment. ACA is fully accredited by Alberta Advanced Education and provides students with a direct pathway toward careers in commercial aviation.
We are seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Admissions & Student Recruitment Officer to become the first point of contact for prospective students. This individual will play a vital role in attracting future aviators, guiding applicants through the admissions process, and representing ACA at recruitment events across Alberta and Western Canada.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Registrar and Student Services, the Admissions & Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for recruiting qualified students, managing applicant communications, coordinating admissions activities, and supporting enrollment growth.
The successful candidate will combine outstanding customer service with strong organizational skills and a passion for aviation education. This position requires travel, public speaking, event planning, and the ability to manage multiple prospective students through the admissions pipeline. This position will support prospective students from initial engagement to first day of classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment
- Serve as an ambassador for the Alberta College of Aeronautics at career fairs, open houses, school visits, aviation events, and community outreach activities.
- Develop relationships with high schools, guidance counsellors, Indigenous communities, military transition organizations, aviation organizations, and community partners.
- Deliver engaging presentations to prospective students, parents, and educators.
- Respond promptly to inquiries by phone, email, website, and social media.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective students and conduct regular follow-up communications.
- Assist with digital recruitment campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
- Coordinate campus tours, information sessions, and recruitment events.
Admissions
- Guide applicants through the complete admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment.
- Review applications for completeness and ensure required documentation is received.
- Explain admission requirements, tuition, financial aid options, and program expectations.
- Coordinate applicant interviews and admissions appointments.
- Maintain accurate records within the College's Registrar records and student information systems.
- Prepare admissions reports and enrollment statistics.
- Issue admissions communications and maintain applicant correspondence.
Student Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students and families.
- Support orientation and onboarding activities for new students.
- Collaborate with academic, flight operations, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve admissions processes and enhance the applicant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, Student Services, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, customer relationship management, education, or business development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or database systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with the ability to travel throughout Alberta.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred
- Experience in post-secondary admissions or student recruitment.
- Knowledge of Alberta post-secondary education and admissions processes.
- Aviation industry knowledge or a passion for aviation.
- Experience with event planning, marketing, or digital communications.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.

Compensation & Benefits
This role is a full-time employment position and ACA offers a competitive compensation package that includes:
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $68,000 annually (based on experience)
