Engaging and diverse workplace environment :
Review inquiries from clients and develop process solutions tailored to the application.
Work with the Sales team to provide budgetary proposals for clients through the completion of internal design tools, templates, and costing forms.
Budget proposals include cost of labour, materials, purchased items,
as well as a rough timeline and technical presentation for customer review.
Prepare cell layout drawings, cycle time charts, and other process documents as required for proposals.
Participate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-house.
Support new business and product development through additional activities such as project management support, site reviews/assessments, data collection and analysis.
Documenting development processes, procedures, and application version histories.
Liaise between the other departments for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and aid in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
Expectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs.
Support other departments during and after kickoff of projects.
Experience and Education
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree
3+ years of experience in an automation engineering environment
Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works
Proficient with MS Office
Strong technical presentation skills
Ability to adapt to a agile environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes, with changing priorities
