Our client is looking for an experienced Database Engineer to manage and integrate their hybrid data landscape. This role requires hands-on expertise with on-premise Oracle databases, Starburst for data federation, and private cloud-hosted platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, with a strong focus on leveraging Apache Iceberg.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ yrs exp.
- Strong experience with on-premise Oracle DB administration.
- Hands-on expertise with data federation platforms, specifically Starburst (or Trino).
- Proven experience with private cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and Databricks .
- Deep, practical experience with Apache Iceberg table format and architecture.
- Expertise in data modeling, cross-platform integration, and performance optimization in a hybrid workplace.
This is a hybrid work, with 3 days on side.
