Position Overview A growing construction and design-build organization is seeking an experienced Architect to join its multidisciplinary team. This unique role focuses on project planning, feasibility analysis, design optimization, and coordination from the earliest stages of development through construction.
The successful candidate will work closely with development, estimating, design, and construction teams to ensure projects are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate project feasibility, site planning, and design concepts during pre-construction.
- Review and optimize architectural plans for functionality, quality, constructability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interpret building codes and regulatory requirements to support project approvals.
- Provide technical guidance during design-build projects across commercial, multi-residential, industrial, and institutional sectors.
- Help bridge the gap between architectural design and successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and construction regulations.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and design-build delivery.
- Membership or eligibility with a professional architectural association is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
