We are a small ISO-registered medical device manufacturer located in east Toronto. We are experiencing multiple years of double-digit sales growth and are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team.
Position: Assembly Line Worker (Manufacturing)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday and willingness to work overtime
Salary Range: (19$- 22$)/hour + overtime
Work Location: In person - North York, Toronto, ON, Canada
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
We are looking for an Assembler to join our team in manufacturing and assembling high-quality shower commode chairs. The candidate within this role should have a strong inherent capability reading drawings, have natural dexterity and mechanical aptitude (use of hand tools and fasteners) supported with a strong command with the English language (Reading, Writing and Verbalization)
As this role requires assembling shower commode chairs and components, the candidate must be capable of:
- Ensuring quality control (appearance, form, fit and function) and customer needs
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues
- Ensuring that our products meet Raz and industry standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring quality control (appearance, form, fit and function) and customer needs
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues
- Ensuring that our products meet Raz and industry standards
- Assemble shower commode chairs and mobility according to technical specifications and work instructions
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete assembly tasks
- Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly and mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work setting
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies to ensure workplace safety
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve assembly processes
- Attend daily assembly meeting at start of shift
- Identify defective parts and complete documentation as required
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as required
- Fulfill overtime requirements when needed
- Other duties as required
Qualifications & Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar role preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
- Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is an advantage
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Regularly lift and / or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Required to stand / walk / stoop (a posture in which the head and shoulders are bent forward and downward) over an eight hour period
- Possess manual dexterity to consistently assemble parts together quickly and accurately
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
