Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Liquor Store Manager to join our vibrant retail team. In this role, you will support the store manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. Your leadership will help drive sales, optimize merchandising strategies, and foster a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

- Assist the store manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee merchandising activities, ensuring product displays are attractive, organized, and aligned with company standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding new staff, and training team members on store policies and sales techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing, and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Maintain a protected, clean,



and welcoming environment by enforcing health and safety standards and organizing organizational tasks efficiently.

Requirements

- Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail or similar customer-focused environments.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers and team members; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, marketing, budgeting, and sales management to drive store performance.
- Ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Exceptional organizational skills paired with strong math aptitude for pricing accuracy and financial recordkeeping.
