Role Description The Associate Application Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Montreal, QC. This role supports the design, configuration, and implementation of ERALUX LED solutions, working closely with sales, engineering, and production teams. Day-to-day activities include providing technical support to customers, assisting with application-specific design and layout, preparing technical documentation, and participating in testing and validation of lighting systems.
The Associate Application
Engineer also collaborates on product demonstrations, helps troubleshoot system issues in the field, and contributes to continuous improvement of application guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications
Technical Support skills to assist customers and internal teams with product selection, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Software Development or scripting skills to work with control systems, configuration tools, and data analysis related to LED applications.
Electrical Engineering knowledge to understand LED drivers, power distribution, circuit design, and compliance with relevant standards.
Mechanical Engineering skills to review fixtures, mounting solutions, and thermal management considerations in lighting systems.
Testing skills to validate product performance, support quality assurance, and document test results for application-specific solutions.
Relevant education in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in lighting or electronics.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and use CAD or similar tools is an asset.
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Comfort working on-site in a lab, office, and production environment, and engaging with customers and partners as needed.
