Role Description We are seeking a dedicated Wealth Management Associate to join our team in downtown Vancouver. This is a full-time, on-site role where the successful candidate will support a growing senior portfolio manager and wealth advisor’s team in delivering superior client service.
Responsibilities include assisting with client portfolios, preparing financial plans, some investment research, monitoring market trends, and providing key administrative support. The Associate will also interact with clients, helping to address their inquiries and provide timely information to meet their wealth management needs.
Qualifications Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills
Keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and shifting of priorities environment
Organized and detail oriented; Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Be responsible to managing timelines and key dates to support exceptional client deliveries
Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively to maintain exceptional client experience
Clear understanding of internal and regulatory requirements
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage sensitive financial information responsibly
Financial Planning and Finance expertise to assist in preparing client strategies and interpreting financial data.
Demonstrated proficiency in the wealth management process
Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with clients, internal and external partners and team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is required; Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or similar designation is an asset.
Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE
Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
High quality time management and organization skills
Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients Nice-to-have
Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
Experience in the securities industry is an asset
Insurance knowledge
Financial planning knowledge
Tax and estate planning knowledge
Interest in business developement
