Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a valuable foundation for a career as a professional mechanic. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to develop skills in diagnostics, repairs, and customer service, contributing to the efficient operation of our service department.

Responsibilities

- Assist senior technicians with automotive repairs and maintenance tasks
- Learn to diagnose vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs
- Support in the replacement of parts and assembly of vehicle components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations

Requirements

- Prior experience or automotive repair background is preferred but not required




- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive systems
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Robust attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent customer service skills to assist clients professionally
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in automotive technology is a plus

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive learning workplace for individuals passionate about automotive repair and eager to develop their skills within a professional dealership setting. Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
