Hi! Im a mother of three children. Two of my kids attend summer camp, and Im looking for an occasional babysitter to care for my 6 year old child for about 2 hours during the day. My daughter is nonverbal and has Angelman syndrome and global developmental delays.
She is a very happy, SOLID, affectionate child who loves attention and interacting with people. At times, she may hit or reach for someones hair when shes excited, so Im looking for someone who is patient, kind, and understanding of children with special needs. The help would give me a chance to catch up on household chores or occasionally step out for a short time.
I may also be at home while youre caring for her. If you have experience with children with special needs, thats wonderful, but its not required. The most important qualities are patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
