Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, with precision and care
- Decorate cakes and desserts using piping techniques, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Package baked goods carefully for display or delivery, ensuring freshness and visual appeal
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredients and supplies,
notifying management of shortages or needs
- Provide excellent customer service by offering product recommendations and answering questions about baked goods and decorating options
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
- Solid skills in food industry standards for baking, packaging, and presentation
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
