Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our team in creating high-quality baked goods and providing excellent customer service. This role involves assisting with food preparation, decoration, packaging products, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery workplace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, food safety, and delivering a positive experience to our customers.

Prior experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food industry is a plus but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing baked goods, including mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity using cake decorating techniques
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Package baked items carefully for sale or delivery to maintain quality and presentation
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks such as slicing, filling, and assembling products
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with health standards




- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting customers as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines related to food safety, kitchen operations, and equipment use

Skills

- Experience with decorating techniques is highly desirable
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and baking methods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organizational skills for packaging and product presentation
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates reliability and teamwork orientation

This position offers an opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a supportive bakery environment dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. Pay: $17.50-$21.50 per hour
