Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team at our sister restaurant Bodega. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and POS systems, along with a passion for hospitality and the food industry.

The Bartender will play a key role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and serve beverages in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to legal requirements.
- Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.




- Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment focused on hospitality excellence.

Requirements

- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, food handling, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in hospitality or food service industries is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
