Role Description This full-time remote Benefits Specialist role is responsible for supporting clients and internal teams with accurate and timely benefits administration. Day-to-day tasks include explaining insurance coverage and policy options, managing benefits enrollments and changes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as the U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Specialist will respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear guidance to working families regarding their benefits.



The role also involves maintaining detailed records, collaborating with colleagues to improve processes, and using digital tools to deliver consistent, high-quality service in a remote environment.

Qualifications

- Benefits Administration and FMLA knowledge, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations.
- Understanding of Insurance products, coverage options, and claims-related processes.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal explanations of complex information.
- Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with common office and communication software, and comfort working in a remote setting.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Prior experience in benefits, human resources, or insurance-related roles is preferred.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field is beneficial.
