Our client, a moving and storage company, is seeking a motivated and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk with a strong accounting background and experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO). There is also the opportunity for growth into a Head of Accounting role as the current position-holder plans to retire.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and processing payments
- Follow up with customers on outstanding and overdue invoices
- Handle accounts payable by reviewing, posting, and ensuring timely payments
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Support payroll functions, including preparing ROEs, T4s, and payroll remittances
- Track sales data for commission calculations
- Review and administer expense reports




- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
- Calculate and remit HST, WSIB, and EHT on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Prepare financial reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
- Perform additional duties as required

Required skills and qualifications:

- 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Accounting/Bookkeeping diploma is a strong asset but not required with relevant experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online – mandatory
- Committed to improving productivity and efficiency
- Quick to learn and adapt to recent software and technologies
- Self-motivated, independent, and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical skills with a strong work ethic

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
