Hiring: Business Analyst – Capital Markets (Front Office & Portfolio Management)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets and Front Office experience to join a high-performing team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Portfolio Management Systems, trade lifecycle, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Trading Desk, and Middle Office teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog.
- Support the delivery of solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and collateral management processes.
- Review source code to validate business workflows and identify process improvements.
- Break down business requirements into sprint-ready user stories.
- Track project progress, identify risks, remove blockers,



and promote Agile best practices.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Data, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets.
- Hands-on experience with Front Office and Portfolio Management Systems.
- Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile environments.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Bloomberg, Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin, or similar Portfolio Management platforms.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM.
