Job Summary

Friends Cafe is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with people and takes pride in quality food and coffee. As a Café Team Member, you'll help create a welcoming experience for every customer while preparing specialty beverages, fresh food, and our daily baked goods, including muffins. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to develop skills across all areas of café operations.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service.

- Prepare espresso beverages, coffee, tea, and other menu items to café standards.

- Bake fresh muffins and assist with preparing baked goods and light meals.

- Prepare sandwiches, soups, and other food items with care and consistency.





- Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.

- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures.

Qualifications

- Previous café, bakery, or food service experience is an asset but not required.

- An interest in baking and food preparation is highly valued.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.

- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

- Basic math skills and confidence handling cash.

- Flexible availability, including weekends and mornings.

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
