Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
- Provide product information and demos when applicable, including technology sales or merchandising displays
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure the cleanliness of the cashier station
- Manage customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed
- Support team members with various tasks to ensure efficient store operations
- Uphold company policies regarding cash handling, security, and customer service standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell items confidently
- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; prior experience in technology sales or merchandising is advantageous
