True North Diner is hiring a full time, permanent position $22-25/ hour

Chef’s duties include

- Training, mentoring and supervising your kitchen team to deliver and uphold consistent meals according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Making and evaluating employment decisions of personnel
- Controlling food costs, inventory and purchasing
- Scheduling and labour control for the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleaning schedules, equipment checks and health and safety standards
- Working with the restaurant managers to plan and price menu items

Skills & Requirements:
- 5 years previous experience as Line Cook, Sous Chef or Chef
- Post Secondary Education (or equivalent work experience)
- English Speaking
- Permitted to legally work in Canada; Citizen, Permanent Resident,



Temporary Foreign Worker with valid work permit and SIN
- Ability to work in a fast paced setting while keeping a calm presence and maintaining your best judgement
- A leader capable of building strong relationships based on teamwork and respect
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
