Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for our client in Calgary! The CTO will lead the organization's data, technology and analytics strategy. The successful candidate will build and oversee the company’s enterprise data architecture, business intelligence capabilities, and technology roadmap to transform operational data into actionable business intelligence.

Primary Responsibilities:

Enterprise Data & Platform Ownership

· Own the company’s enterprise data architecture and technology strategy

· Lead the design and implementation of a centralized data warehouse/data lake

· Manage Oracle database integrations and enterprise system connectivity

· Develop and maintain customer, contract, and billing data structures

Business Intelligence & Analytics

· Build executive dashboards and KPI reporting

· Deliver weekly and monthly executive reporting packages

· Develop reporting for: Customer count and churn, Revenue (ARR/GMV), Margin by cohort,

Hedging and load exposure

· Support data-driven decision making

Financial Reporting Support

· Partner closely with Finance to provide data and reporting supporting: Accrual reporting, Hedge reporting, Cash flow forecasting

Technology Leadership





· Lead internal and external development resources

· Oversee software development priorities and technology initiatives

· Improve automation across business processes

· Ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems

Infrastructure Strategy

- Develop a long-term technology strategy focused on: Security, Redundancy, Cloud migration,

Data stack modernization Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with executive leadership, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Technology teams.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
- 10–15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
- Strong background in:
- Data Engineering and Data Mining
- Business Intelligence
- Enterprise Data Architecture
- SQL and rationale database design
- Data Modelling
- Enterprise Systems Integration
- Experience leading technical teams and external vendors
- Robust communication and executive presentation skills

Preferred:

- Experience with energy, utilities and building systems

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Compensation:

Base Salary: $175,000 - $230,000

Bonus: 10-20%
