Role: Cloud Application Engineer

Location: Mississauga, ON(Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Build and maintain Java-based microservices following contemporary software engineering best practices.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) to automate cloud provisioning.
- Manage source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes using GitLab.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- Analyze business and technical requirements, identify the best implementation approach, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while independently driving assigned deliverables from design through deployment.

Required Skills:

- 6+ years of experience in cloud application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to independently manage deliverables with minimal oversight while meeting project timelines.
