What You’ll Do 1. Precision CNC Machining & Production (70%)

- Setups & Operations: Independently execute full CNC machine setups, fixture preparation, and tooling selection for high-precision production runs.
- Program Validation: Review, edit, and optimize CNC programs and setup parameters to ensure seamless execution.
- Tolerance & Quality: Machine components to exacting tolerances and rigorous specifications, utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify quality.




- Process Optimization: Monitor cycle times, tool wear, and production efficiency, driving continuous shop-floor improvements.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work cell while completing accurate production tracking and reporting.

2. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement (30%)

- Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and fixturing challenges on the fly.
- Collaborate with supervisors and programming teams to refine workflows, reduce scrap rates, and maximize machine uptime.
- Mentor junior operators and share setup best practices across the team.

What You Bring

- Experience: Proven hands-on track record in CNC setup, machining, and G-code program validation/editing (Lathe or Mill focus).
- Minimum 2 years of machining experience.
- Red Seal Machinist and Mastercam are an asset.
- Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of speeds, feeds, metal-cutting characteristics, blueprint reading, and GD&T; principles. The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Problem-Solver Mindset: Strong diagnostic ability to troubleshoot setup issues, tooling wear, and tight tolerances under production deadlines.
- Pride in Ownership: High standard for work quality, safety compliance, and shop cleanliness.
