Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Refrigeration Installation Foreman to lead our installation projects with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee the installation of commercial refrigeration systems, coordinate teams of technicians, and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your mechanical expertise will drive successful project outcomes while maintaining a positive work environment.

Duties

- Install, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment like walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, condensing units, tack systems, and large retrofits.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a crew of multi-trade technicians on commercial refrigeration projects from start to finish.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, and general contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and other trades onsite.




- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the project to guarantee proper system operation and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including progress reports and safety logs.

Qualifications

- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license with a good abstract.
- Proven experience in commercial refrigeration.
- Ability to travel weekly to jobsites throughout the Maritimes and working a flexible schedule to accommodate day or night shifts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including experience in electrical wiring.
- Having obtained a Red Seal Endorsement in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing large scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, general contractors, and customers.
