Position Summary The Contractor Desk Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining robust relationships with contractors, builders, and qualified customers while driving sales growth and customer retention. This role serves as the primary point of contact for contractor accounts, providing product expertise, preparing quotes, coordinating orders, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from project planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary contact for contractor customers, developing long-term relationships and providing exceptional service.

- Grow contractor sales through account acquisition, business development, networking, and customer retention.

- Prepare and manage quotes, estimates, special orders, pricing, and project requirements while maintaining target margins.

- Proactively follow up on leads, quotes, and sales opportunities to maximize conversation rates and revenue.

- Conduct outbound sales calls, contractor outreach, job site visits, and community networking to develop new business.

- Maintain accurate customer records, monitor sales performance, identify market opportunities and recommend process improvements.

- Plan contractor appreciation events and maintain an annual contractor engagement calendar to strengthen customer loyalty.

- Complete supplier and product training to maintain current product and industry knowledge.





- Resolve customer concerns professionally while ensuring a positive customer experience.

- Achieve or exceed sales, gross margin, and contractor growth targets.

- Increase new contractor accounts and customer retention.

- Maintain strong quote conversion rates and effective sales pipeline management.

- Deliver an exceptional customer experience while supporting overall store profitability.

- Demonstrate product knowledge, professionalism, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in contractor sales, account management, customer service, and/or related field.

- Experience working with contractors, builders, tradespeople, or the construction industry is highly preferred.

- Knowledge of building materials, home improvement products, or retail operations is an asset.

- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship -building skills.

- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, quotes, and customer request simultaneously.

- Experience using POS systems or customer relationship management software is an asset.

- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
