Become an integral part of the County of Renfrew as a County Planner, focusing on land use and development services. Reporting to the Manager of Planning Services, the County Planner will provide crucial technical and strategic support.
You will respond to inquiries, prepare detailed planning reports, and review zoning by-law amendments. Your contributions will directly influence local land use development and policy planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to public inquiries on land use planning
- Prepare official plans, amendments, and zoning studies
- Review subdivision applications and provide technical support
- Maintain the planning information system and database
- Educate stakeholders on planning legislation and policies Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Planning or related field
- Minimum three years in municipal planning experience
- Knowledge of the Planning Act and related legislation
- Proficient in GIS and planning software
