Nipissing University invites applications for part-time course instructors for Fall/Winter positions to teach courses in Mathematics for existing vacancies.

Fall Term: September 8, 2026, to December 31, 2026

Hours: Total of 36 instructional hours over 12 weeks

- MATH-2326-FA001 – Anishinaabek Mathematics, North Bay
- MATH-3296-FA001 – Mathematics Modeling, North Bay
- PHYS-1006-FA001 – General Physics I, North Bay (Lab)

Winter Term: January 11, 2027, to April 30, 2027 Hours: Total of 36 instructional hours over 12 weeks

- MATH-1046-WI001 – Introductory Linear Algebra, North Bay
- MATH-2076-WI001 – Probability and Statistics, North Bay
- PHYS-1007-WI001 – General Physics II: Mechanical Wave, North Bay (Lab)

- MATH-2326-FA001 - BSc or BA in Math (or higher degree) - expertise in Anishinaabek ways of teaching, knowing, and learning in the areas related to mathematics and science.
- PHYS-1006-FA001, Bachelor’s/Mater’s degree in science, or a closely related field.
- PHYS-1007-WI001, General Physics II: Mechanical Wave, Prior experience teaching or assisting in physics laboratory courses, Hands-on experience with standard physics lab equipment and safety protocols, Strong understanding of fundamental of physics (classical mechanics and thermodynamics), Ability to set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab apparatus, Proficiency in data analysis and scientific computing tools such as Excel

Duties





- Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned
- Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time
- Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures
