Hiring: Data Integration Engineer (Lead/Senior Lead) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days/Week Onsite)

Contract We are looking for an experienced Data Integration Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT development, Cloud Data Engineering, and Data Warehousing, along with proven technical leadership experience. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data integration solutions.

Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.

Integrate data from databases, REST APIs, SaaS applications, flat files, cloud platforms, JSON, and XML.

Design data transformation, cleansing, validation, migration, and synchronization frameworks.

Develop optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models.

Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and ensure data integrity.

Build and support cloud-based data pipelines on Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Work with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery.

Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, analysts, and project managers.

Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and establish data engineering best practices.

Skills





8+ years of experience in Data Integration/Data Engineering.

Strong proficiency in Python for ETL development, automation, and data processing.

Advanced SQL expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as:

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Informatica

Talend

SSIS

Apache Airflow

Matillion

Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and file-based integrations.

Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling.

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience leading technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred

Skills

Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Azure Synapse, Redshift, or BigQuery.

Data Governance, MDM, and Data Quality frameworks.

Azure/AWS/Snowflake/Data Engineering Certifications.

Exposure to Streaming/DataOps, AI/ML data pipelines.
