Join our dynamic team as a Daycare Cook & Float Staff, where your culinary skills and passion for nurturing young children come together to create a warm, safe, and nourishing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, delicious meals that meet food safety standards while providing flexible support and covering breaks for the classroom staffs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that every child receives quality food service in a cheerful setting.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks tailored to young children's dietary needs, following approved menus and guidelines.
- Serve food to children in a friendly, effective manner, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Maintain strict food handling and safety procedures to uphold health standards and prevent contamination.
- Assist with meal setup, cleanup, and kitchen sanitation to ensure a clean and organized food service area.
- Support other staff members by providing versatile coverage in different daycare classrooms as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, report shortages, and assist with ordering to ensure continuous meal availability.




- Follow all food industry regulations and daycare policies related to food safety, allergy management, and sanitation.

Experience

- Previous experience in food service or meal preparation within a restaurant, cafeteria, or similar food industry setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety protocols is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Experience working with children or in a daycare environment is advantageous but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
