Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

:

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure (Azure DevOps)

- Manage end-to-end build, release, and deployment automation

- Execute and support VMC2 (VMware Cloud) deployments in hybrid environments

- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform)

- Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams to streamline release cycles

- Implement containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes

- Experience supporting and deploying

Java-based applications through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including build automation with

Maven/Gradle

.

- Hands-on experience with

Apache Kafka deployment, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments;

experience supporting Kafka-based event-driven applications is highly preferred.

- Monitor system performance, availability, and deployment health

- Ensure security, compliance, and governance across pipelines

- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize deployment performance

- Use scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and tooling
