Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and safety standards, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious food options.
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic kitchen and dining area.
- Support meal setup, including plating, portioning, and presentation to enhance the dining experience.
- Interact courteously with residents or clients, providing friendly customer service and addressing any special dietary needs or preferences.
- Follow proper food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.




- Assist in meal planning and preparation activities under supervision, contributing ideas for menu variety when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and storage spaces through regular cleaning routines.

Skills

- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and sanitation standards to ensure a secure environment.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in serving meals and supporting meal preparation activities is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while adhering to safety guidelines.
