Duties

- Coordinate daily dispatch activities using transportation management systems to optimize freight routes and schedules
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal departments via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clarity and professionalism
- Manage shipping and receiving documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills, maintaining seamless supply chain flow
- Monitor freight movements, troubleshoot issues promptly, and provide solutions to keep deliveries on track
- Utilize systems like AS400 and SyteLine for order processing, inventory updates, and shipment tracking




- Conduct analysis of logistics data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipping & receiving logs, and incident reports

Qualifications

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and freight operations
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping procedures
- Proficiency with AS400 or SyteLine enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and typing speed
- Strong analysis skills to interpret logistics data and identify trends or issues
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with clear communication skills
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a busy setting
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with freight handling experience
