About the Company & Role De La Fontaine Doors and Trim Inc. has been supplying interior doors, mouldings, and hardware to Kingston’s residential construction industry since 1988. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable Door Production Technician to join our shop team. This hands-on role includes preparing and machining doors, using pneumatic nailers, saws, and shop equipment, and ensuring products are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the door machine to route hinge pockets, bore knob holes, and prepare doors to specification.

- Use compressor nailers and hand tools to hang doors accurately and efficiently.

- Measure, cut, and prepare trim components to work order specifications.

- Read and follow work orders, ensuring all products meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.

- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and finished product throughout the production area.

- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance issues to the Operations Manager.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

- Support other production and warehouse tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in carpentry,



residential construction, finishing, or a related trade is required.

- Comfortable and confident using nailers, saws, and a range of hand and power tools.

- Experience operating woodworking or production equipment is a strong asset.

- Ability to read work orders and measurements accurately.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

- Dependable, team-oriented, and interested in long-term steady work.
