In this role, you’ll be responsible for applying joint compound to drywall seams, taping, and finishing surfaces to create smooth, flawless walls and ceilings. Duties

- Apply joint compound accurately over drywall seams, corners, and fasteners to achieve a seamless finish
- Tape joints using drywall tape or mesh for secure adhesion and smooth surface transitions
- Sand finished surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
- Use caulking tools to seal gaps around fixtures, trim, and edges for a clean look
- Read blueprints and project plans to understand specifications and ensure precise application of finishes
- Assist with construction painting and touch-ups as needed to enhance overall project quality




- Perform minor carpentry or handyman tasks related to drywall installation and finishing processes
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and debris, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site

Experience

- Prior construction experience with drywall finishing or taping preferred; hands-on knowledge is highly valued
- Familiarity with construction painting, caulking, and basic carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately to follow project specifications
- Experience with drywall installation, sanding, and finishing techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality results
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting materials, and working at heights when necessary
- Handyman experience or general construction background enhances versatility in the role
