Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Lead activities such as storytelling, music, art, and outdoor play to encourage creativity and learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and assess children's development, behavior, and learning, documenting progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about children's progress.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to enhance learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Alberta Childcare Staff Certification Level 2 or 3 (ECE).
- Current First Aid and Criminal Record Check
- Experience working with children ages 19 months to 5 yrs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrates adaptability & flexibility in diverse situations, showcasing an ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Exhibits a proactive approach and willingness to take the initiative in addressing challenges and advancing goals.
- Brings a positive attitude to the workplace, fostering a collaborative & encouraging atmosphere.
- Possesses robust leadership skills, inspiring others and guiding teams effectively to achieve collective objectives.
