Join CPABC as an Economist, responsible for shaping economic thought leadership. This full time role focuses on data-driven insights for policy and public interest communications. Reporting to the Vice President, External Affairs and Communications, the Economist manages the BC Check-Up analysis and CPABC's budget submissions.
With a strong emphasis on translating complex economic data into accessible content, you will develop editorial insights that promote CPABC as a leader in economic discourse. Your contributions support significant policy recommendations and enhance engagement with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance economic indicators and benchmarks
- Create editorial content for CPABC’s thought leadership
- Manage BC Check-Up surveys and analyze economic trends
- Prepare CPABC's budget submission with actionable recommendations
- Oversee media relations and coordinate newsletters Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
- Minimum three years’ experience in public policy development
- Strong research skills in economic analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
