- Delivery and facilitation of individual or group programming to youth clients who have been referred from Probation or School Board as assigned by the Program Manager
- The supervision of clients within the Attendance Centre and at any designated satellite locations in Essex County
- Have a clear understanding of modalities and strength-based instruction
- Support all Attendance Centre school programs and classrooms
- Through positive relationship with Probation, assist with determining if further assessments with community partners are required, such as psychological assessments
- Ability to follow recommendations of I.E.P. and/or I.P.R.C. when made available
- work with clients, both one-on-one and in small groups, to aid with assignments/homework, learning strategies and study skills
- Review graded materials to help clients improve on future work
- Assist clients in gaining digital literacy skills necessary to complete their work
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in either education or social sciences background
- A ,minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience working with at risk and high risk youth is necessary
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset
- Experience working in a school classroom
- Knowledge of Windsor and Essex County region
- Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required
- NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical and a valid Ontario Class "g" driver's license, and Clean Driver's Abstract are required prior to working directly with clients.
Job Types: Full time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
