Salary
CAD 90,000 – CAD 120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule
- Full-time

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain education software applications.
- Build scalable web-based and cloud-based learning solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Develop new features and enhance existing applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues.
- Integrate APIs, third-party services, and educational platforms.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Develop and maintain databases and backend services.
- Support software deployments, updates, and system enhancements.
- Create technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and education technology trends.
Required Skills
- Software development using Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- Modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Backend development and RESTful API development
- SQL and database design
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Git version control
- Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Software testing and debugging
- Application security best practices
- Object-oriented programming
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Collaboration and communication skills

- Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing educational technology, e-learning, or SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and education technology standards is an asset.
- Experience working with cloud-native applications and microservices is an advantage.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automated testing is considered an asset.
