Aladin Childcare Services offers educational and care programs to children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age,

operating at four different locations in Ottawa

We are looking for educators, support staff, and casual staff for our Kindergarten and School-Age Programs at our Pleasant Park site; RECE or relevant experience preferred. Job-share opportunities available and flexible hours

Start Date: September 1, 2026

Responsibilities

- must meet the needs of and supervise a group of kindergarten/school-age children.
- conceives and implements developmentally appropriate programming and play-based activities for the children based on the provincial curriculum, How Does Learning Happen?

Qualifications and requirements

- Early Childhood Educator diploma preferred or relevant post-secondary education
- pertinent experience working with kindergarten/school-age children in a group setting
- capacity to work well in a team setting and independently
- must speak, read, and write fluently in English; knowledge of French, mainly spoken, is an asset
- recent copy (6 months) of police check to work with clients in the vulnerable sector
- valid training: Standard First Aid and CPR level C, anaphylaxis, Ontario Health and Safety and WHMIS

Duration and salary

- Start September 1,



and the duration will vary depending on whether the position is a job-share arrangement
- after school 2:55 to 5:45 pm (2.75-3.25 hours) for 200 school days, and educators receive an additional 1.5 hours weekly during the school year for programming and How Does Learning Happen? Educator positions before school, 7:10 to 8:20 am
- full time on non-instructional days (min 7.5 hours for educators and 5.5 hours for support staff) for 60 non-instructional days (PD days, school breaks, and summer)
- salary is according to the current pay scale, educator: starting at $26.80 an hour, plus current $2 per hour wage enhancement grant for time worked in the program (subject to change).

Support staff: $21.00 an hour plus current $2 per hour wage enhancement grant for time worked in the program (subject to change).

Supply RECE: $20.95 an hour plus current $2 per hour wage enhancement grant for time worked in the program (subject to change). Supply non-RECE: $18.95 an hour plus current $2 per hour wage enhancement grant for time worked in the program (subject to change).
