Electrical Journeyperson Service Technician

Location: Edmonton, AB

Are you an experienced Electrical Journeyperson Service Technician with strong skills in fire alarm system inspections, testing, and repairs? Do you enjoy combining your technical expertise with excellent customer service? If so, we want to hear from you!

At Allied Projects, we are looking for technicians who are highly skilled in electrical and life safety systems and excel in providing professional service to a wide range of clients. In this role, you will perform inspections, testing, and repairs on life safety and electrical systems across commercial and government facilities, including secure sites requiring clearance. You will work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fire Alarm System Inspections & Repairs: Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting,



and repairs on fire alarm and life safety systems at various client sites.
- Customer Service: Build strong, professional relationships with clients, maintaining clear communication and working respectfully within occupied facilities.
- Field Work: Attend multiple job sites to support service needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead or assist small crews as needed while supporting projecttimelines and safety requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings, ensuring all work meets applicable codes and standards.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical and life safety systems in commercial and government environments.

Required:

- Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
- Valid Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Ability to obtain required security clearances

Preferred:

- 3+ years of fire alarm inspection, testing, and repair experience
- CFAA Certification (or willingness to obtain – reimbursement available)
- Experience working in commercial, institutional, or government facilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $45.15-$47.30 per hour

Work Location: On the road
