Job Type: Permanent Full time Salaried (37.5 hours per week)
Reports to: Community Connection Centre Manager
Responsibilities: The ESP4Y Coordinator is responsible for delivering an employment and career preparation program for individuals aged 16 to 29 who face barriers to employment. The primary objective of the role is to equip participants with skills, knowledge, and supports necessary to obtain and maintain meaningful employment or pursue further education that will enhance their future employment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with at-risk individuals and/or post-secondary education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in integrated case management, preferably within employment, career development, or workforce readiness programs.
- Experience and/or certification in the facilitation or delivery of life skills programs is considered an asset.
- Experience working with diverse and Indigenous poulations in a culturally responsive manner.
- Strong organizational and time managment skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of community resources, supports, and other agencies is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
- Maintain professional boundaries in and out of the workplace as outlined in the YWCA Code of Conduct and Ethics Agreement.
- Successful completion of a YWCA Security Clearance, including a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of up to three (3) concurrent Employment Support Program for Youth (ESP4Y) cohorts, each serving up to 16 participants.
- Recruit,
screen, and interview prospective program participants.
- Conduct participant onboarding and orientation to the program.
- Deliver and/or coordinate employment readiness programming, including life skills, career development, workshops, educational sessions, and mentorship, while adapting content to meet the individual needs of participants.
- Facilitate group discussions and participant engagement.
- Arrange and monitor job shadowing for participants.
- Provide ongoing case managment, including conducting client assessments, developing employment action plans, monitoring participant progress, and making referrals to appropriate community resources and supports.
- Provide a safe, confidential, respectful, and judgment-free environment for participants.
- Assist participants in applying for Education Training Incentive (ETI).
- Ensure all interactions with participants, visitors, employers, and community partners are professional, respectful, and client-centred.
- Deliver services in a timely, flexible, and responsive manner based on participant needs and circumstances.
- Provide information, referrals, and connections to community services and financial supports.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, scheduling, and maintaining program documentation.
- Collect, maintain, and report program data in accorddance with funding and organizational requirements.
- Prioritize workload to effectively balance client needs and administrative requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Community Connection Centre Manager.
