We are in need of an Equipment/Building Technician. In this position, you will be required to work with the Facilities Coordinators at multiple locations within the Niagara Region to perform all necessary repairs and maintenance needed ( including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, etc.). We have a high-performance and relaxed culture.

This is a stress-free job that requires good experience, time management skills, and common sense. The successful applicant will work well without direct supervision. Prerequisite Requirements and Qualifications:

· Working knowledge of general equipment and building repair (electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC, etc.); this is a HANDS-ON position

· All candidates will be subject to a full background and reference check

· Must have a full driving license and must own a truck/van

· Must be fluent in English

· Must be able to use a smart phone well (texting, emails, apps, etc.)

· Having some general tools would be a plus

· Willingness to travel throughout the Niagara Region

· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and move/carry/lift equipment and devices as well as work at heights





· CSA approved footwear is required

Responsibilities / Scope of the Job:

- 9am to 5pm normal working hours
- Perform all small repairs that don't require specialized trades
- Perform preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment
- Understand and prioritize work requests
- Work with trades (e.g. Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC) when necessary
- Respond to urgent/emergency calls on a timely basis (this includes late night hours)
- Perform repairs quickly and efficiently.
- Present yourself in a professional manner.
- Work in a team and be open for feedback.

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience and possession of Certificates of Qualification for electrical, plumbing, gas, etc.) Group health benefits are available immediately upon hiring

Experience

- Although not mandatory, experience in construction / repair / handyman is an asset
- Certificates of Qualification a plus
