Job Title: ESL Teacher

UMC High School is urgently seeking a qualified and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to support international students at the beginner level. The successful candidate will teach an ESL Beginner (ESLBO) course, fostering language development and academic readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach engaging ESL lessons using Schoology LMS and provided materials
- Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and Growing Success
- Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through differentiated instruction
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Submit attendance, marks, and reports on time
- Maintain student records and organized course pages




- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance learning outcomes

Qualifications (Required):

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline
- Experience teaching ESL or high school students
- Familiar with Ontario Curriculum and Growing Success
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with digital tools such as Schoology, Zoom, and Microsoft Office

Preferred:

- B.Ed. or ESL teaching certification
- Experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs)
- Experience teaching in-person, online, or hybrid formats
