Position: ETL Data Tester

Location: Toronto ON

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and execute comprehensive test cases for ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Perform file‑based testing across formats like CSV, JSON, XML, and Parquet.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and transformations across multiple data layers.
- Develop Python scripts to automate data validation and end‑to‑end testing tasks.
- Write advanced SQL queries to verify data integrity, business rules, and transformations.
- Conduct data profiling, auditing, and reconciliation between source and target systems.
- Test data ingestion and streaming workflows using Kafka or other messaging queues.
- Analyze defects, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.
- Review ETL logic, mapping documents, and requirements to derive test scenarios.
- Ensure schema validation, data quality checks, and anomaly detection across datasets.
- Support CI/CD-integrated automated test execution and reporting.
- Document test results, data issues,



and validation processes with explicit traceability.
