Howitt Construction is a busy excavation company based out of Red Deer. We're looking for experienced excavator & dozer operators for nightshift and dayshift on a pond project located approx 1.5 hrs NW of Whitecourt. Work contract approx 1.5 months long.

Candidates must be able to perform all the skills in the Scope of Work, and work in a safe manner following all policies and procedures.

Work Details

- 11 hrs/shift + 1.5 hr of drive time,
- 7 days a week, long weekends off (4 days),
- Hotel/LOA available,
- Transportation provided to and from work.

Excavator Scope of Work:

- Minimum 4 years of excavator experience,
- Production loading rock trucks, shaping berms,
- Working around other heavy equipment & ground personnel.
- Complete walk arounds,
- Fuel and grease own machine.





Dozer Scope of Work:

- Minimum of 4 years experience,
- Stripping topsoil,
- Grading slopes,
- GPS experience an asset but not necessary,
- Must be able to work alone with limited supervision.

PPE Requirements

- Steel toed boots,
- High visibility safety vest,
- Safety glasses,
- Hard hat,
- Gloves.

Job Type: Full time Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
