EWIS Wiring & Schematic Specialist

Location: Montreal, Quebec (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

Salary: $137,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Envisage Recruitment are partnering with a leading aerospace engineering organisation to recruit an experienced EWIS Wiring & Schematic Specialist for a permanent opportunity based in Montreal. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and integration of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) across complex aerospace programmes. Working within a collaborative engineering workplace, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and harness documentation, while supporting engineering change, manufacturing and product release activities.

This role would suit an experienced electrical design engineer with a strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, wiring architecture and engineering lifecycle processes. Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain aircraft electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and associated design documentation.

Support the complete electrical system design lifecycle, including design updates, validation and release activities.

Produce and modify Electrical System Schematic Diagrams (ESSDs).

Create and update Wiring Diagrams (WDs) in line with engineering and customer requirements.

Support electrical harness documentation and reporting activities.

Incorporate engineering design changes including RFCs, PCRs, ECRs and other change requests.

Participate in technical design reviews and customer meetings.

Provide engineering support to manufacturing, integration and troubleshooting activities.

Estimate engineering effort and contribute to project planning activities.

Support release, configuration management and engineering change processes.





Mentor junior engineers and contribute to maintaining high engineering quality standards. The Person

You will ideally have

Experience in aircraft electrical systems design and EWIS engineering.

Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and harness documentation.

Understanding of aircraft electrical architecture and equipment integration.

Experience supporting engineering release and configuration management processes.

Knowledge of engineering change management and controlled design environments.

Experience creating and modifying Electrical System Schematic Diagrams (ESSDs).

Experience producing and maintaining Wiring Diagrams (WDs).

Familiarity with design change processes including RFCs, PCRs and ECRs.

Working knowledge of CATIA V5 Electrical would be advantageous.

Excellent communication skills in English.

French language skills would be beneficial but are not essential. Why Apply?
