Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabrication Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble metal components.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join various metals with precision and consistency.
- Use plasma cutting tools, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble materials.
- Conduct rigging operations to lift, position, and secure heavy metal parts safely during fabrication processes.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, adjust machinery, and ensure proper alignment of fabricated parts.
- Measure dimensions accurately using calipers, tape measures, and other precision instruments; perform basic math calculations for quality control.
- Support assembly tasks involving ductwork, structural components, or custom fabrications while adhering to safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and cranes as needed for material handling and movement within the fabrication area.
- Follow safety protocols when working with welding equipment, power tools, or heavy machinery to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), fabrication, or manufacturing environments with a focus on structural or ductwork projects.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy components safely using cranes or forklifts.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid certifications in welding (MIG/TIG), forklift operation, or rigging are advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed.
