We're looking for an experienced Field Commissioning Lead to join our team on a 14/7 rotation. Lead the testing and commissioning that brings critical power infrastructure online while working alongside experienced commissioning professionals on major utility and infrastructure projects across Canada.
The Opportunity In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

What You'll Do
- Lead field testing and commissioning activities for MV/HV systems and protection & control schemes
- Support utility, industrial, and energy infrastructure projects across North America
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and startup
- Support outage, energization, and commissioning activities
- Mentor and support junior team members and field crews
- Assist with commissioning procedures,
startup documentation, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, and technical stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with corporate, client, and industry safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification
- 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments
- Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience
- Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure
- Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required
Requirements This is a field-based position requiring travel and extended rotations at project sites across Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada. Background checks and Drug & Alcohol testing will be required as part of employment, and must have a valid driver's licence with clean abstract. Expected annual earnings: $175,000-$245,000, inclusive of base salary and overtime (actual earnings may vary based on experience and project requirements.)
