About Abode Financial

Abode Financial is redefining the home improvement industry by providing dealers with a full suite of creative financing solutions for all their residential, commercial, property management, and new construction needs. We are a growing company — and our Finance team is growing right along with us. That growth means real opportunities to learn, contribute, and build a career from the ground up alongside people who want to see you succeed.

The Role

This is a fantastic launch pad for a career in finance. As a Financial Analyst, you will work closely with — and learn directly from — our Senior Analysts, gaining hands-on experience across financial reporting, accounting operations, and treasury.

You will primarily support our financial reporting function, with the opportunity to build skills in treasury and funding operations and to step in as a backup across accounting operations. You will not be doing it alone: you will have mentorship, clear guidance, and steadily increasing ownership of key processes as you grow into the role. If you are detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn, we will invest in helping you thrive.

What You’ll Do

Month-End Close

· Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting schedules.

· Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· Help keep financial records complete and accurate.

· Perform account analysis and review variances against prior periods.

Financial Reporting

· Assist in preparing working papers and financial statements.

· Support the preparation of monthly management and lender reporting.

· Contribute to ad-hoc analysis that helps leadership evaluate business performance and make informed decisions.

Audit and Tax

· Support the external auditors during interim and annual audits.

· Prepare documentation for tax compliance and for lender and external audits.

Accounting Operations

· Accounts payable: process vendor and service invoices, ensuring proper expense coding, timely payments, and resolution of vendor queries.

· Expenses: process employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement.

· Accounts receivable: process receipts and returns in the system, collaborating with the Customer Care and Collections teams as needed.

· Prepare daily fund transfers to ensure proper allocation of funds across bank accounts for payments and funding.

Growth and Collaboration

· Build strong relationships with colleagues across the finance and operations teams to support shared goals.

· Bring forward ideas and recommendations to streamline and improve existing processes.

· Contribute to projects and other finance initiatives as the business evolves.

What We’re Looking For

· A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field — recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

· A genuine interest in building a career in finance. This is an entry-level role; experience with structured finance, securitization, or consumer lending operations is a welcome bonus, not a requirement.

· Comfort working in Excel; exposure to QuickBooks or similar financial systems is a plus (we will help you learn the rest).

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

· A team-oriented, curious mindset and clear communication skills for working with colleagues and external partners.

· Eagerness to learn and to grow into taking ownership of key processes over time.

Why You’ll Love It Here

· Mentorship from experienced Senior Analysts who are genuinely invested in your development.

· Broad, hands-on exposure across accounting, reporting, and treasury — a foundation that opens doors.

· Visibility with finance leadership and a real voice on a close-knit, growing team.

· A clear path to expand your responsibilities and your career as Abode grows.

Ready to start your finance career with us? We’d love to hear from you.
