About the Role

Our client, in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Director of finance, responsible for overseeing the finance and operations of the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive performance, ensure financial discipline, and support long-term growth through strong planning, analysis, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Controls

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS (management & statutory)
- Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Lead audit processes and liaise with external auditors and advisors

Operational Finance

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance KPIs
- Analyze variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations
- Optimize cost structures and improve financial efficiency




- Support system implementations and process improvements

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
- Establish explicit roles, workflows, and performance expectations
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience
- CPA designation required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
- Proven experience in a leadership role (Controller, Senior Manager, Director)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls
- Experience working closely with senior leadership or ownership
- Background in a public company and in the manufacturing industry
