Ottawa’s Protak Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an Intermediate level Financial Specialist for an ongoing project with the federal government. This is a contract prospect which strictly requires candidates with an active Security Clearance from the Government of Canada. Scope of Work The Financial Specialist Will Be Tasked With The Following Support financial analysis of initiatives

Review cost estimates and funding assumptions

Assist with financial planning

Identify financial pressures, risks, and funding gaps across the portfolio.

Provide financial input to planning discussions with divisions and management.

Conduct monthly analysis of financial forecasts and spending trends.

Monitor updates to financial information and identify outdated or incomplete records.

Liaise with program owners and directors to validate financial information.





Contribute to monthly financial reporting.

Review financial components of proposals

Validate costing assumptions and funding sources.

Identify financial risks or gaps in submissions.

Provide recommendations to improve financial clarity of proposals.

Requirements A relevant University degree related to Finance A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including previous government experience An active security clearance with the Government of Canada
